Cardz TV ~ "Glad You're My Dad" Blog Hop! - 06/21/16



Welcome to Cardz TV "Glad You're My Dad" Blog Hop!

Here is my design:



For this challenge I created an easy Father's Day card for my dad.  It reminds me when he was in the military and overseas when I was little.  Back then we did not have all the communication opportunities available that we have now.  

My parents spent what they had on two tape recorders.  My mom, my little sister (middle sister) and I would listen to my father's tapes in the morning and then we would record new ones and send them to him.  
I remember one he sent to us saying he had grown a mustache, we sent a tape back telling him he had to shave it off before he came home.  He has been there for me in so many ways and continues to care and worry about me and my family across the miles, so this card is perfect for him.

HE is Risen Blog Hop ~ March 19th

Now on with the projects.
Here is my design:

For this blog hop our theme was Christian Easter celebration.  I decided to make this layered card.  I've made a layered card this past winter and it was a favorite.  

 I like this card as the crosses are up on the hill and it reminds me of HIS sacrifice for us. I also like the intricate cuts and details.  I added some flower buttons for spring and to add color.  May you have a blessed Easter and remember HE is the REASON for the SEASON!
