Get Inky! Stamps ~ Designer Challenge #11

Today's card is inspired for our "Bug challenge!  For this challenge I decided to stamp one of the butterfly stamps from the Love Bugs stamp set, It is one of my favorite sets!

I planned on making a card, but as I began putting papers together I decided the butterfly went best on this particular sheet; and it would be best as a layout.  I desperately need to do more layouts, so it was perfect!  =)

Crafty Card Gallery Blog-a-versary Challenge~ August Challenge 8/16

Welcome Friends!!

Today, we're sharing with you our project this month with the Crafty Card Gallery  Blog-a-versary challenge group.

For this challenge we we're given silicone to use on our project.  Here's what we came up with:

Trying to decide what to do with the silicone was challenging at first; we didn't know how it would take to embossing, glues, etc.  At first I cut out large butterflies but I did not like how they turned out.  

Then I decided I had this stamp I had just purchased & I decided to color it in memory/honor of my middle sister, Laurie who is in heaven.  We were 14 months apart to the day & her birthday would've been last Saturday, Aug 9th.  I then punched out smaller butterflies & added glitter glue to them.

Crafty Card Gallery Designer ~ August Challenge 8/15

Polka dots! Inspired by a pedicure?

When this challenge was posted I knew I had to do something with ladybugs; they have dots!  When you ask people what are some of your favorite things or what type of things do you collect as a hobby sometimes you will hear "ladybugs".  

I don't collect ladybugs myself, I've just always liked them.  I also liked this open window style of card.

Get Inky! Stamps ~ Designer Challenge #10

Today's card is inspired for our "Ribbon challenge!  When I saw this challenge I knew what I was going to do.  I hadn't used the jar stamp yet & I've been wanting to try stamping on vellum.  Stamping on vellum is not as easy as it appears & finding instructions that are easy to understand and have all the instructions have yet to be found; but I figured out how to do it.  =)

Today's card was inspired by a sketch for our design challenge.  When I first saw this sketch I have to be honest I was not REAL excited about it.
